Bio

Born in 1976. Raised in a family where politics stood at the center and a sense that the world can be changed for the better prevailed. He grew up fascinated by the ever-changing face of the earth and the complexity of humankind. Photography became a way to live history and explore people and their relations.

With photography as a backdrop, he studied writing and speech at the University of Gothenburg. He progressed with Spanish in Zaragoza, Spain, and Cienfuegos in Cuba. Returning to Sweden he entered the medical faculty in Gothenburg, Sahlgrenska University in 1999. During his medical studies, he completed a project documenting the inside of the Thorax Surgery Department at Sahlgrenska hospital. The pictures got him elected for joining the biggest picture agencies in Scandinavia - Scanpix/Pressens Bild. His texts and pictures have been published in various newspapers, magazines, books, and TV. In 2022 the result of his latest project was published in one of the biggest newspapers in Sweden, Göteborgs-Posten.

2008 he settled down at Styrsö Island in the Southern Archipelago outside Gothenburg as a resident General Practitioner and part-time photographer. He now devotes most of his time as a photographer to personal projects but takes on assignments.
